Consists of a parade departing from West Park, royalty, bunting, events, entertainment, live music, stalls, classic cars and much more Organised by members of the Long Eaton Community Carnival Association, Long Eaton Carnival is an annual celebration of life in the town and takes place on the third Saturday in June each year. The event starts with a parade departing West Park at 11am, around the t
own and back to West Park approx. 1pm, with decorated floats/lorries in a theme chosen by the community, including young people being treated like Royalty for being outstanding in the community, walking parties, charities, local groups and businesses promoting themselves. Coming back onto West Park Carnival Event field, where there will be a variety of stalls, events arenas with entertainment/acts/live performances; a funfair; classic cars; live music marquee, with various bands held throughout the afternoon and into the evening. Long Eaton Community Carnival Association (LECCA) is a not-for-profit organisation run entirely by volunteers. The Carnival Event is FREE, relying heavily on donations from bucket/chalice collections, card payments, JustGiving page, and grants where possible, to cover the costs of putting on the entire event. PLEASE can you give what you can to this event - without these funds we would be unable to organise everything for the community, which has been a tradition since 1931.
