To present a rehearsed reading of Act One of Caoimhe Farren's exceptional play Hello Charlie.

Hello Charlie is a whip smart black comedy about trauma, sisterhood and breaking the cycle of familial addiction.

Sisters Maeve and Kate have fled their past trauma in Derry and now live in London. Hedonistic Maeve binge drinks to oblivion; stoic Kate sees history repeating itself. But Maeve dodges culpability for her drunken antics, the blame clearly lies with her beloved inebriated alter-ego Charlie.

Hello Charlie was a finalist for the Women's Prize for Playwriting, Runner Up in the Victoria Wood Playwriting Prize for Comedy and in the top 1% of the BBC Open Writers Call.

This Sunday at the second annual Front and Centre symposium for women and non-binary playwrights we will stage a rehearsed reading from act one.

A very sleepy SkelpieLimmer Team came straight home from 5 beautiful, busy, inspirational days at Edinburgh Fringe and went straight into rehearsals for Shame Show by Colm McCready & Fergus Wachala Kelly.

As we go into our final day of the week we can absolutely confirm this audience member's feedback is spot on- the high camp fun of this inventive and touching new play has kept us energetic all week!

'Shame Show' is the next stage in Colm McCready's Associate Artist journey with SkelpieLimmer. Following on the multi-award winning success of 'Scaredy Fat' last year we're headed back to Dublin Fringe from 17th-21st September - in home of 'Scaredy Fat'...Smock Alley Boy's School!!
