Kyiv Art Sessions Summer 2026 brought people together across the United Kingdom through Ukrainian art. At the same time, the project became an opportunity to support those who need it most.

Thanks to the generosity of our British friends and everyone who attended the events, we raised UAH 61,273 in support of the Voices of Children. We have received a letter of appreciation from the Foundation, in which they emphasize that this contribution is truly significant and will help provide psychological support to even more children and families affected by the war.

Our heartfelt thanks go to everyone who contributed. It is through such acts of solidarity that genuine partnerships between people and nations are built.

The title of the concert proved once again that in times of trial, symbols become a language of their own.

As the sky over Kyiv was still veiled with smoke from the fires, and people were mourning those killed in the aftermath of russia’s attack, Ukrainian music was being performed in London. And the concert programme spoke for itself.

Valentyn Sylvestrov’s Benedictus (Night) and Sanctus (Day) — night and light, grief and hope.

Victoria Poleva’s Lacrimosa —a prayer born of sorrow.

Maksym Shalygin’s To All Resurrected — a musical dedication to those who continue to live on in our memory.

Antonii Baryshevskyi performed this music with extraordinary inner strength. That evening, he was not only a remarkable pianist but also a guide to the meanings embodied in each work.

On that day, the programme itself became a testimony.

A testimony to the fact that Ukraine speaks truthfully about its own time.

And that there are things no force can ever defeat.

There is something deeply symbolic about the way a shapeless piece of fabric is transformed into animage.
The fabric changed its form.

A portrait emerged before our eyes. Music opened new dimensions, while symbols came to life.
