Today we say goodbye to the Summer Exhibition 2026 🌈

Year after year, it continues to occupy a special place in the collective imagination as a reflection of all that is exciting and essential in British and international art and architecture right now.

We'd like to extend our congratulations and a big thank you to all the artists who took part this year. Stay tuned for an exciting announcement for the 2027 Summer Exhibition! šŸ‘€

After her father's death, artist Emma Broughton returned to his house with her sister to sort through his belongings.

As she looked around his room, she noticed that his pillow still held the indentation of his head- the final trace of her father in the place he called home.

Like an Egyptian sarcophagus or a Victorian death mask, Emma's artwork joins a long artistic tradition of honouring a lost loved one.
