🍋 Get to Know Emma Gibbons 🍋

Ahead of our upcoming event with artist Emma Gibbons, we thought we’d introduce you to the woman behind the glitter, glamour and seriously playful artwork…

💎 She comes from a family of Cornish pirates and smugglers
Emma says her childhood obsession with treasure, finding things and all things shiny still inspires her work today. Her “magpie” instinct has become a signature of her art.

🎨 She spent 7 years working with Damien Hirst
Emma worked behind the scenes with Hirst, including helping install his infamous diamond-encrusted skull For the Love of God at White Cube. She also worked as a painter for the Chapman Brothers on their epic installation Fu***ng Hell.

🍭 She makes art from the unexpected
From pill capsules and glitter to resin, jewels and miniature handmade components, Emma transforms curious materials into dazzling, three-dimensional artworks.

👠 Her art has some seriously famous fans
Her collectors include Zoe Ball, Dawn French, Danny Dyer and Margot Robbie — who purchased Emma’s Bad Barbie in 2022.

💖 Her philosophy? Art should make you happy.
Emma believes art should be joyful, playful and bring happiness to your walls — although beneath all that sparkle, her work often explores ideas around consumerism, addiction and excess.

We can’t wait to welcome Emma to the gallery next weekend and hear more about her fascinating journey, inspirations and wonderfully unconventional approach to art.

Stay tuned for more about our upcoming event with Emma Gibbons…

🍋 SOLD OUT — EXCEPT FOR ONE 🍋

Some artworks invite quiet contemplation. This isn’t one of them.

The Connor Brothers are back with their latest provocative release, American Psycho — a bold reimagining of Bret Easton Ellis’s notorious cult classic, with a very different protagonist taking centre stage.
Blending vintage book-cover nostalgia with razor-sharp wit, satire and contemporary culture, the piece is unmistakably The Connor Brothers: audacious, irreverent and designed to make you look twice.

Set against a striking red, white and blue backdrop with a subtle Stars and Stripes motif, American Psycho sits at the intersection of art, culture and commentary.

Love it. Question it. Debate it. Laugh at it.
Whatever your reaction, one thing is certain — you won’t ignore it.

And there’s a reason this one is already making waves…

Officially SOLD OUT — with just ONE artwork remaining at The Lemongrove Gallery.

Once it’s gone, it’s gone.
