Meet Carmel Comiskey, Abbey Road Institute alumni and recording engineer making her mark across London’s vibrant music scene.

Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, Carmel has built an impressive career working in studios including Angel, Abbey Road, Hoxa and Platoon, with credits spanning artists such as English Teacher, Self Esteem, Benjamin Walker and more.

Alongside her work behind the console, Carmel is also passionate about creating a more inclusive music industry, advocating for greater gender representation through her role as Communications Manager for Music Production for Women.

As part of our Graduation Workshops, students had an exclusive session with Grammy-winning engineer and producer Riccardo Damian as he recorded Josh Barry and his band in a live studio environment.
