J. Aria is a vocal artist, turntablist, sampler and multimedia producer that uses drone textures and instinctive beat sound-art to summon states of tension, desolation, morbidity and eroticism within their singular soundworld. A manipulator of the human voice, using wordless melodies and surrealist structures to tap into the unpredictable, sensory world of the subconscious.

2018’s mixtape ‘dYs’ is a world of heterotopic ‘otherness’, pushing senses of horror and psychosis within q***rdom and the incidental beauty of the fractured.

A singular performer in London's q***r experimental cabaret world, their work has been performed at Glastonbury, Latitude and Glade festivals and featured exclusively on both Soundcloud, NTS Radio and BBC6 Music. Co-founder of rowdy post-club parties afterTouch, softerTouch and MegaLast, their mixes have been played on Netil Radio, NTS and beyond.

30 years young from London Bethnal Green, Daryl’s style is folkie rock, with his own East London twist and lyrics to match. His inspiration ranges from rock to reggae, but his true love is for techno and techhouse which he also produces.

Daryl has been in music for years including electronic / acoustic band, “The Hook”. Performing at festivals including Glastonbury, they also ran their own event, “Hooked Up” showcasing up and coming talent, which our very own Awkward actually sang at!

Daryl’s next plan is a solo mission concentrating on his love of writing songs and producing dance music.

So keep your eyes peeled for this cheeky chappy, as he’ll be popping up very soon near you for sure, until then join him with us Next Thursday 2nd August at Miranda, Ace Hotel!

This is Martell O’neil. Martell has been performing pretty much his entire life. As a young boy he was always performing, whether in panto, local theatre productions, competions, church or just for his long suffering but ever supportive mother and family. His teens saw him introduced to backing singing for many artists past and current which is where his love of singing was birthed. After dabbling with the idea of become a recording star he decided that a life on the “live stage” was more appealing to him then the hustle of the “fame game”. After appearing in a few west end productions Martell and some of his very talented friends started thier own Motown music show called “How Sweet it is”. Touring the length and breath of the UK’s biggest theatres it is now in its 12th sucessful year.

Join him next week, as he’s graces the stage at Apple Tree at Miranda, Ace Hotel on Thursday 2nd August!

Apple Tree - The Live Lounge is a new night at the Miranda, Ace Hotel London celebrating emerging q***r musicians across London.

Our launch event on 14th June 2018 was an incredibly special & intimate evening. Thank you to everyone who came to support, making it so magical.
