Meet the amazing soloists of ‘Windrush Migrations: Opera in Concert’ 🎉

Come and experience them bring the programme to life through powerful performances and storytelling.

Joined by the Brixton Chamber Orchestra, these singers will explore themes of migration, identity and resilience, celebrating the many voices and stories that shape our communities.

This July, we’ll be hosting two events as part of Regents Park Music Festival, ‘Music in the Secret Garden’ Regentsparkmusicfestival🎶

Opera Adventure (ages 5 to adult) | 12:00pm, 2:00pm

Step into a magical opera adventure, a lively, interactive experience specially created for children and their families.

Suitable for ages 5+ with parental supervision, you are also invited (if you wish) to come dressed as explorers!

Led by a dynamic facilitator, two professional opera singers, and a live pianist, this joyful session invites you to meet the performers, hear their incredible voices up close, and become part of the action.

Opera Uncovered | 6:30pm - 7:45pm

Join us on a magical operatic journey from Mozart to Rossini, with a dash of Gershwin, in the beautiful setting of the Secret Garden.

Experience world-class classical singers and musicians in a rich tapestry of opera and music from around the world. Enjoy some of the best-loved arias alongside exciting newer additions to the repertoire as we celebrate both operatic tradition and diverse contemporary voices.

We are delighted to introduce the 26/27 cohort of mentees for this year’s Opera Mentoring Programme! 🎶

Over the coming year, these twelve outstanding singers will receive tailored coaching, mentorship from leading opera professionals, and industry insight, all designed to support the next step in their careers.

This initiative continues to play a vital role in nurturing talent, expanding representation, particularly among those from global majority backgrounds, and shaping a more inclusive future for the opera industry.

Our Opera Mentoring Programme is in association with Glyndebourne and generously supported by Arts Council England, Laidlaw Opera Trust, Katie Bradford Arts Trust, Scops Arts Trust, Idlewild Trust and Thriplow Charitable Trust.

Congratulations to this incredible cohort, we can’t wait to see what’s next. 👏

✨Croydon Harmony in Concert✨

What a truly special and joyful afternoon of music, community and celebration💛

A huge thank you to everyone who made this event so incredible - our amazing Croydon Harmony Choir (in their very first performance!) led by Christina Carty and our brilliant Brixton Community Choir led by Florence Cheng. The phenomenal soprano Danielle Kamilah Williams, the vibrant Endurance Steel Orchestra led by Roury Hinds, and our wonderful pianists Waiyin Lee and Robert Adoo Kissi-Debrah.

And of course, thank you to our fantastic audience for our first concert at St Stephen's - we can't wait to be back!

This project has been a real celebration of community, culture and connection through music - supported by Croydon Council through the Croydon Loves You 2025 Fund.

This special performance brings together two Pegasus community choirs, including the new Croydon Harmony in Concert choir in their first public performance, alongside acclaimed Trinidadian soprano Danielle Kamilah, Soprano and members of the incredible Endurance Steel Orchestra

If you’re a classical singer considering the next stage of your professional journey, the programme offers dedicated mentorship and time to shape what comes next, alongside insight shared through our partnership with Glyndebourne.

🗓️ Applications close at midnight on 1st March 2026.
�The scheme welcomes applications from classically trained singers with global majority heritage. Previous applicants are welcome to re-apply.

*The term global majority heritage includes people of African, Asian, indigenous, Caribbean, Latin American, Pacific Ocean Island or mixed-heritage backgrounds.*
