✨ Jasmine’s Dance Story 🌸

Behind every name, there is a story. And behind Firefly, a little light that carries a much bigger meaning. ✨

In Part Three, Jasmine takes us a little deeper into the heart of Firefly, sharing the hopes and ideas that have shaped what it has become.

For her, every person carries something uniquely their own. Their talents, their colours, their own way of shining. And when those different colours come together, perhaps they can create something even more beautiful. 🌈

That same thought carries onto the stage. Beyond simply watching a performance, Jasmine hopes to create a connection with the audience — a moment to feel, to be curious, and to experience Chinese culture a little more closely.

This time, we discover a little more of the meaning, colours and heart behind Firefly. 🌸✨

✨ Jasmine

Maybe it’s because I’m a Londoner… 🇬🇧✨

Last Saturday, Soho Square Gardens came alive with music, dance, arts, crafts and stories from different communities. All coming together to celebrate the diversity that makes London what it is today.

As part of this celebration, Firefly Performing Arts was proud to share a piece of Chinese culture through Chinese dance, bringing our own movement, music and traditions into the heart of London. 🪭

It was lovely to see people stopping to watch, and even more special to hear their thoughts and reactions afterwards.

Different cultures, different stories, one London. 🤍

Thank you to everyone who stopped and shared the moment with us, and a special thank you to for creating a space where different communities can come together through art and performance💖

Have you ever discovered something beautiful completely by chance? ✨

At Open House Festival in Soho Square Gardens, Firefly Performing Arts brought Chinese fan dance into the heart of London with a workshop led by 🪭

Among those who joined us was Paola, who happened to discover our workshop while spending her birthday in London. 🎂

As a yoga teacher in Italy who works with children with special needs, Paola shared how deeply the movements resonated with her and how meaningful she found the experience.

Her words beautifully reflect what we hope to share through our workshops: bringing people together through movement, culture and dance.😊🤍

A big thank you to the organiser for having Firefly as part of this wonderful event, and to everyone who stopped by, picked up a fan and danced with us.

And happy birthday again, Paola! We hope you have a wonderful time in London and take home some beautiful memories from your trip. ✨🪭

Some behind the scenes of our choreographic improv where movement meets play! 🩰🎭 These moments change with every run and dancer, no two takes are ever alike! We love exploring this expressive side and it always ends in laughter. ✨
