It’s the last week to see RSA200 in Edinburgh as it ends on Sunday 14th June.
It’s been a privilege to be part of it and also a joy to share the experience with my lovely and very talented son, . My thanks to the selectors, curators and all those behind the scenes at the RSA for presenting such an exciting show.
If you’re out and about in Edinburgh this week, do try and catch it. Rory and I have our paintings in the Findlay Room downstairs and are in great company there.

I have been gathering a body of work around me over the past year and am delighted to share this one with you today. I feel there is something proud and joyful about this bird’s demeanour. Hope you enjoy it!

The painting which I have referenced here is by François Boucher ‘Mercury Confiding the Infant Bacchus to the Nymphs of Nysa’ (1769), which is in the collection of the Kimbell Museum, Fort Worth, Texas.

Delighted to share these photos of myself and our very talented son, Rory, as well as our work at the Royal Scottish Academy of Arts opening of RSA200 from last Friday night. Rory’s lovely painting is called ‘The Holy Hour’ and shows his ability to work in fine detail. My painting is the ‘Guardian of Lost Souls’.

Many thanks to all at for their wonderful hospitality. It is a very strong exhibition and would highly recommend a visit if you’re in Edinburgh over the next few weeks. Rory and I have our paintings opposite each other downstairs in the Findlay Room and we’re in great company there!

The exhibition will run until June 14th.

The painting within the bird is a detail taken from the magnificent work, ‘Erminia Finding the Wounded Tancred’ (1650) by Guercino (Giovanni Francesco Barbieri). It is hanging next door in the National Gallery of Scotland and I’m happy that my painting has come full circle to its point of inspiration.

I’m delighted to have had this painting, ‘Guardian of Lost Souls’, selected for RSA200, the 200th Anniversary open exhibition here in Edinburgh.

The exhibition will open this Saturday May 9th and will run until June 14th.

Happy memories of a wonderful few days in London a fortnight ago with good friends old and new!

A hardback catalogue accompanied the recent . My painting, ‘Kindred Spirits’ and my husband’s ‘Euphorus’ were on facing pages and a section of ‘Euphorus’ was on the front cover.

I’m so happy to have been given a prize (Arts Club Chianciano Award) for my painting, ‘Kindred Spirits’ in the London Art Biennale yesterday!

I’m also beyond proud of my very talented husband, Alan, who won best work for his incredible painting, ‘Euphorus’!!

It was a fantastic exhibition of 350 artists from 60 countries and a wonderful opportunity to make new friends and meet kindred spirits from around the world.

Fantastic opening evening with my talented husband Alan, last night at the Chelsea Old Town Hall on the Kings Road!

Delighted to meet some of the other exhibiting artists there. It’s a fabulous show of 350 international artists that’s on until Sunday and definitely worth the trip!

I’m delighted to let you know that my painting ‘Kindred Spirits’ (45x42” oil on linen) has selected to be part of the London Art Biennale which will open next week 17-20th July at Chelsea Old Town Hall on the King’s Road.

I’m very proud to tell you that my husband Alan has also been selected for this competition, with his painting ‘Euphoros’ featured on the cover of the catalogue! We’re very excited to be going to London on Wednesday for the preview.

If you’re in London next week, please do go and see the show which has 350 international artists included. The exhibition is free to enter and is open 10-7 and 10-6 on the Sunday.
