MEET THE DIRECTORS OF ZEST !! 🍊
Behind every piece of ZEST is a director helping bring a brand-new script off the page and into the rehearsal room. Meet our three brilliant directors:
Ewan Mulligan .mulligan
Ewan Mulligan (They/ Them) is a theatre maker and Katie Mitchell trained Clown from Lancashire, now based in South London. Their work has been seen across fringe venues and scratch nights. They're the Artistic Director of UGLI Theatre Co, and their debut production 'I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream' was shortlisted for the Best of Camden Fringe 2025.
Aidan Brown
Hi. My name is Aidan Brown. I am an Actor, director and theatre maker. I studied Theatre at the BRIT school for performing arts and technology for 4 years. I have since left and I am trying to navigate the ebbs and flows of the industry, being a part of ZEST takes me one step closer to my dreams.
Maisie Johnson
Theatre director Maisie Johnson graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2025 where she directed and facilitated over 30 productions. Since July 2025, she has directed a 7-month tour of Macbeth around the UK and USA and has recently accepted the@maisiejohnson_24 esident Director for Drama on the Rise, which, in collaboration with Aurora Metro Publishing, puts on regular professional play readings to revive old and showcase new writing from the Aurora Metro catalogues. Maisie is also a theatre critic, physical effects director, and an intimacy coordinator, with a focus on prioritising actors' comfort throughout the creative process.
Working alongside our seven writers and 14 actors, they’ve been shaping these brand-new pieces, making creative decisions, asking big questions and bringing their own ideas and instincts into the room.
