Since Instagram is feeding our work to Ai to train it, well… I am joining the bandwagon and I am taking my art to a different platform: Cara. They use technology to stop Ai from stealing artists’ work over there. Unless things change, I will not be publishing art work in instagram anymore. I will find my artist friends in Cara if you are there, if not, may be I see tou there soon.

This is birthday month for me, not because it is my birthday but because so many important people in my life have their birthdays this month: my baby sister, my mum and my best friend, Elena. Throw back at a drawing I made in the early 2000s. The script ‘Cum Tacent Clamant’ is from a Cicero passage, it means: ‘when they are silent, they are shouting’. A plane flys away on the top corner of the drawing while a child lays on the ground. The silence of the children than will never laugh again is louder than metalic rain and fiery storms.

This is an old drawing that I did few years ago. The artist represented in Louise Bourgeois. She created huge structures shaped like spiders, but also rooms, instalations, tactile sculptures and textile pieces. I fell in love with her art when I first saw it at an exhibition in my early 20s. She has remained one of my favourite creators of all time. I love the way she uses her life experiences and makes them into material and evocative environments that lure you into the way she sees the world.

This year has been the worst and the best. I cannot go into too much detail for different reasons but, the best and the worst things that could happen to me have taken place this year. I learnt that when push cames to shove, the worst things are both that bad (or may be, you are stronger than you think you are) and the good things are even better than you imagined or deared to dream them. I am looking forward to more spins around the sun in this weird spaceship we call earth.
