The new addition to my Tarot card project, Major Arcana 17, The Star. This piece is based Ītzpāpālōtl , a skeletal warrior goddess who was also a Tzitzimitl, or star demon, in Aztec mythology. She ruled over Tamoanchan, the paradise of women and children who died in childbirth and the place where humans were created. Her appearance is often that of a butterfly.

This card is associated with hope, faith, renewal, self-trust, despair and spirituality.

The new addition to my Tarot card project, Major Arcana 15, The Devil.for this piece I made the head of the devil figure less monstrous to draw less focus. The figures in front however are based on Queen Isabella I of Castile and Niccolo Machiavelli. Arguably two of history's most notoriously influential people for better or ( more likely) worse.

This card is associated with attachment, addiction, restrictions, independence, obsession, sexuality and detachment.

The new addition to my Tarot card project, Major Arcana 13, Death.This piece was largely kept the same as the original. The characters create an imagery of death riding towards the rich, the poor and the powerful equally. I wanted to add a reference to the Tibetan book of the dead, so dressed the figure Death as a monk. The white horse was kept the same as a reference to Revelations 6 :8 (shout out to my fellow lapsed Catholics). Another slight change is the silhouettes of the crows in the sunset.

This card is associated with endings, transformation, change, inner purging, letting go, decay and stagnancy.

The new addition to my Tarot card project, Major Arcana 12, The Hanged Man. This piece is drawn from the story of how Odin hung from the world tree, Yggdrasil, for 9 days to obtain the runes.

This card is associated with surrender, waiting, lack of direction, perspective, stagnation, disinterest and sacrifice.
