EXHIBITION ANNOUNCEMENT! Coming in November to a certain small (but big!) art gallery in London N16..

"FILM CLUB" curated by Blam of GROW UP asks a group of artists to choose and interpret or riff on one of their favourite films. The result may be a print edition or an original artwork.

The exhibition will open with an event on Friday 6th November and then run for 3 weeks at Atom Gallery. The list of invited artists includes:

Ah Kent Walton is a series of five Scottish-themed collages by Phill Jupitus. His grapplers are collaged onto scenic Scottish postcards, with dialogue taken exclusively from the newspaper cartoon Oor Wullie.

These artworks are available individually framed for only £90, or the entire set can be purchased for £400. Find them on our website or just DM us.

(The title is a play on Scots dialect and Kent Walton, the voice of ITV wrestling through the 1970s and 80s. “Ah kent” is Scots for “I knew”.)

"Saturday Afternoon" by Luke Haines, an adaptation of the cover of the artist and musician's album "9 1/2 Meditations on British Wrestling of the 1970s and early 1980s".

Luke will be here at Atom this Friday evening performing the album in full to a lucky few who grabbed the free tickets. He'll also be signing more of these prints in the evening.

Limited edition giclée print, edition of 100, numbered, blind stamped and signed. On show at the "Wrestle Room " along with some of Luke's paintings until the end of October

So, about yesterday... Legend among legends Kendo Nagasaki was here at Atom. Such a warm, entertaining and honest man, talking about his career and reminiscing. Selfies were taken, props were given and limited edition screenprints signed by Kendo were flying out.

Wrestling legend Kendo Nagasaki with author and poet Tim Wells. Tim very kindly read one of his poems about wrestling, which was very touching.

Kendo is here this afternoon to sign the brand new limited edition print Atom has published. It's an edition of only 100, a glorious marriage of screenprint and letterpress, each print us individually signed by the man himself, with 20% going to Kendo's charitable foundation.
