My body is here but I’ve gone to live with Bast in the Summerlands . I loved to hide under this holly.

Today, Yin went to be with Bast, her Goddess. She will be buried on Saturday.

She was a wonderful companion and so talkative that all the staff at the vets knew her well, delighted with her impish character.

Mr Vet says I have cancer and that’s why my mouth hurts so much. He gave me a jab but says I have to go back in 2 weeks for the long sleep. I don’t know what that means but I’m hoping I won’t be in pain anymore.

Missus had two men in the front garden squirting something on the weeds so, as soon as they went, I dashed through the front door and walked everywhere to make sure I got plenty on my paws. I’m sleeping it off now as I feel funny.

I didn't like the heatwave, so took to my bed and didn't eat for three days. Bossy thought I was dying haha! I guess at 18 I'm a tough old bird, like Missus, whose birthday is today, but she is only 67, so far younger than me.

I wuz right! Missus drove me to the cat hotel and they have put me in the old people's wing. What indignity! As if I can't jump any more. I heard the man talking about grooming me, to remove my matted fur. Good luck, mate!

Nice Mr Tom next door gave me Phoebe's old dogbed. It is smelly but comfortable.

I have been very sick lately, usually on the carpet, which Missus says is an "Axminster", whatever that means. Nice wool, I think.

Missus has a suitcase in her bedroom and said she was going to roam. I suspect I am also going to a cat hotel but I haven't been told yet.
