To continue the discussion on the future of Dolby Atmos, here is another point of view which appears to along the same lines as Bob. Again let's discuss this further, I'd love to hear from those who think otherwise. I also love to hear it for real myself.

The Neve 8803 eq was reluctantly added to the studio with little expectation of it fulfilling the job it was task to do l, that is to provide tone shaping to the drums particularly to the bass drum and snare. As mentioned above, I had little expectation it would work as good as it does. Strapped across my bass drum and snare, this eq has performed magic with its no nonsense ability to provide me what I've been wanting. With the smallest moves and tweaks, this eq it seems to find the tones I have been seeking with ease. It's performed flawlessly while delivering the perfect tones to compliment the bass drum and snare sounds I have been searching for, I have no intention to try it on anything else. The Neve 8803 eq. Now I hear what all the fuss is about!

Not a session goes by where we are not reminded of Al here at Capitol Studios. Whether it be a quick story about a great one-liner during a session, or remembering an album Al recorded in these rooms, or relying on his tried & true techniques that have been passed on so generously to those that have had the pleasure of working with him over the years.

Remembering Al today and every day.

Picked up this little beast the other day, I love being creative and experimenting with sound, and this thing allows you the flexibility to do just that. The Naitation Bass Sation ll, just got to get my head around how to use it, sounds good though!

Tried this mic chain out the other day, now I can't stop listening to the mix I used to test the set up with. The vocals sound big clear and professional, it's hard to believe the instant change. Now I know why this vocal chain is so sought after. Its a staple here at ukhomegrownmusic studio for sure. I am not done tinkering withit yet!
