Jonathan Lawes is in Unit 0 (Studio 0-210) and will be opening his studio doors for Open Studios on both Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th June.

Jonathan is a contemporary artist and designer known for his bold, geometric, and vibrant abstract works. His distinctive visual language is defined by layered shapes, intricate patterns, and a rhythmic interplay of colour and form. Abstract compositions form through an organic, process-led technique that embraces experimentation and evolves through the act of screen printing. Jonathan’s work has been exhibited widely and he has collaborated with leading brands across interiors, fashion, and lifestyle, including The Conran Shop, COS, Oliver Spencer, Joseph Joseph, and Gandia Blasco.

Chloe Barnes is based in Unit 4 (4-121) and was the winner of Sky Portrait Artist of the Year 2025. She will be opening her studio on Saturday 6th June.

Chloe creates figurative monotypes that explore identity, sexuality, the psyche, and the experiences of women, including her own. She works from life, found film photography and her own self-portrait photos. Each monotype begins with a feeling, which she follows freely, embracing the speed constraints and unpredictability of the monoprinting process to ‘paint with print’ and push against conventional ideas of perfection. Intuitive mark-making, expressive movements, and ‘mistakes’ are all integral to my approach: ink can smear, lines can bleed, and the mirrored image can look entirely different from the painted plate.

Jake from Busy Brewing Coffee took over running the Arts Café at the beginning of the year. Alongside his friendly and welcoming staff, he’s crafted a diverse menu and built up a great atmosphere.

Open 7 days a week, there’s always something tasty to try. Head inside to enjoy a delicious range of savoury items with a hot drink. If the weather's good, grab a cold drink and pull up a seat on the balcony, overlooking the Thames.

He'll be open during our Open Studios weekend from 8.30-5pm.
