Look what we found!

Images of Jon's last solo exhibition in London, over 40 years ago at the Square Gallery in Highgate. Some pieces from this exhibition will be shown again for the first time in decades at Coming Out of the Art Womb, his retrospective next week.

Non conformist artists Gilbert & George and Francis Bacon are key influences for Jon. Like them, he collapses the boundaries between art and life, using his own fluidity of identity and relationships as raw material, inseparable from the art itself.

Last year Jon was lucky enough to meet Gilbert & George at their exhibition space off Brick Lane, just footsteps from Espacio Gallery where he'll be exhibiting next week. Perhaps they'll also get to meet the artist at his own exhibition!
