Some recent new arrivals in my studio! Including a new 60” slate frame from .pennine and linens from for an exciting new commission. Plus some new books for my ever expanding collection including Lynn Hulse’s fab new May Morris book and and ‘s gorgeous Art of Couture Embroidery.

An exciting day yesterday- I got my studio back after it’s been taken over by building works for the last few months. There’s still work to do, you can see the scaffolding outside my fancy new window, but having my studio back is a very welcome milestone!

All set up and looking forward to demonstrating some Both Sides Alike and Goldwork on my stand. If you’re coming to Ally Pally I’m on stand TGD12 in the West Hall, so pop over and say hi!

I have two classes coming up at Hampton Court Palace this term- and both are classes where personalising your work is part of it. First up on the 19th October is my Bright Rainbow, suitable for beginners and you can add your own message underneath. Next on the 2nd-3rd November, a class to design and make your own Goldwork map. Both these classes can be booked via the website!

My Marvellous Macaron class has just opened for registration with ! The class@runs via their online studio in December and you can sign up via their website. I’ve also done an interview with them that you can read on their blog!
I loved running my Parisian Patisserie class with them last year, so am really looking forward to this class as well.

It’s submission deadline day for .exhibition and although I’ve not finished this piece, I’ve managed to get it to a point where I have enough in it to use for my submission pictures. Here’s a sneak peak of The City That Never Sleeps. Looking forward to adding the chipping over the next few weeks.

For my fellow passementerie fans, I spent some quality father-daughter time making some warping posts and a bobbin rack out of leftover pieces of wood (including an old broom handle!) this weekend. Looking forward to trying them out in my studio.

Had a lovely morning up at Hampton Court Palace to see the Future Tutors and C&D student graduation and also to be formally inducted into the RSN Fellowship!
It was great to see so many of my fellow tutors and quite a few of my students as well!

It was my turn to be a student over the weekend with a fabulous class with the fabulous Anna Crutchley. I made both of these tassels and have lots of threads to make more!
