We’ve decided that we are not content with spending our days at Creative Blocks, amassing a collection of London’s most diverse creative talents, all under one roof. We also needed a really good excuse to make use of a small but rare outdoor space, so what was once a parking cage on Kingsland road is now a horticultural haven. We’ve reclaimed the space and decked it out with recycled scaffolding boards, planters, low slung seating and assorted shrubbery. It’s our very own jungle situated in the middle of its urban equivalent. Plus it’s the summer, so what better way to enjoy the sunshine outside than to add to our creative quiver and throw a cocktail party? But we’re not just going to be knocking out Jaeger Bombs and 2 for 1 Smirnoff Ice. Using the talents of those who call the converted TfL station that is Creative Blocks their home, our aim is not just to open another Dalston bar but to create one off cocktails in a one off space, somewhere to enjoy that infrequently seen mythical beast, commonly known as the British summer (we have an indoors as well). It’s called The Cabal and we’ll be serving five bespoke cocktails. We’re using our Curio Cabal 'Chash' teas to infuse into our gin and rum based cocktails, our Monmouth espresso and on-site almond milk from 'The Pressery' for our version of the White Russian. We’re also going to be serving up a selection of locally brewed beers and ales for those of you that are a little less refined, adventurous or just into football.
