I love the exercise where you paint a sky and then cut dark silhouettes in front and this sunset at the heart of Bali rock formation was a perfect application of that style.

Done on a boat watching this very sunset using a brush pen and Payne's Grey.

A new thing for me. I've heard many good things about and so took the opportunity to head down this Bank Holiday.

I've avoided portrait sketching for all the usual reasons of not wanting to offend anyone but I didn't feel any of those worries in the group.

These were either .pen Carbon Ink or Brush Pen on toned paper with a bit of payne's grey watercolour

Croatia 2026. Joined a group of strangers to visit Split.

I did a few sketches while I was there. I claim no artistry in what I do but I do enjoy creating these little assorted snapshots. And the act of creating these reminded me what a success it is just to be able to create them.

Carbon Ink or Uniball with Paynes Grey Watercolour.
