Congrats to all involved with the successful launch of SNL UK last night... a smashing premiere! And a nice detail: half the cast have graced our stage over the last few years.

The live circuit is where many stars of tomorrow - and last night - cut their teeth, and without grassroots comedy clubs the UK would be culturally poorer.

That’s why we’re throwing our weight behind Live Comedy Day, a nationwide celebration of the live comedy sector on 1 April 2026. The day has 120+ comedians performing at 60+ venues up and down the country and the aim is to spotlight just how important the live circuit really is.

After over 500 shows, on Thursday we said goodbye to our incredible venue of 3.5 years, the Covent Garden Social Club.

Post-lockdown, they were brave enough to take a punt on a new mid-sized, midweek comedy club and for that we’ll forever be thankful!

Here’s a mix of current staff, old staff, our logo designer and Club Legend Megan after the final show.

Thanks so much for being a wonderful home for the past 3 years, from escorting a drunk Deliveroo driver out the door to removing a soiled nappy from the staircase, you guys are the best ❤️
