A portrait of The Notorious B.I.G., made by Alfonso Silván as part of his Legends series.

The work is characterised by its intense palette of reds, blacks and earthy tones, with subtle flashes of blue, green and white emerging through the different layers of paint. These overlapping colours create depth and texture, revealing traces of the process beneath the final image.

Silván’s portrait captures Christopher Wallace aka Biggie not only as a music icon, but as a powerful and instantly recognisable figure of contemporary visual culture.

Kosua’s paintings exist in the space between memory and imagination, where the female figure transforms into a symbolic landscape shaped by ancestry, intuition, and personal history.

Through luminous colour, fragmented compositions, and a visual language that balances figuration and abstraction, each work invites multiple readings rather than definitive answers.

We are pleased to introduce Danish artist Amalie Bang.

Working exclusively with hand-cut paper, Bang creates layered compositions in which light, shadow and precision become integral elements of the work. Her practice explores the sculptural potential of paper, transforming a delicate material into compositions of remarkable depth and presence.

Memory is never static. It grows, erodes, crystallises.

In Gui Borsatto’s practice, photographs, textiles, minerals and found objects become vessels of lived experience. Layers of pearls, crystals, buttons and stones emerge across familiar surfaces, transforming personal archives into evolving landscapes where memory and material become inseparable.

Rather than preserving the past, Borsatto reveals how identity is continuously rewritten. Fragments accumulate, disappear and reappear, echoing natural processes of growth, erosion and renewal. Each work exists between intimacy and geology, between biography and universal transformation.

Their assemblages invite us to reconsider memory not as something fixed, but as a living structure, one that continues to evolve long after the moment has passed.

Less is more.

Dominik Platzer’s paintings explore the space where geometric precision meets the human hand.

The slight tension perceived in each curve reminds us that every composition is the result of a deliberate gesture rather than mechanical ex*****on. Combined with carefully balanced colour harmonies, the works quietly stimulate the subconscious, encouraging contemplation over immediate interpretation.

Brazilian artist Marina Rodrigues creates sculptures and installations that investigate how materials occupy, resist and relate to one another in space.

Using concrete and oxidised steel, she develops carefully balanced compositions that explore themes of tension, equilibrium and transformation.

Rooted in an ongoing dialogue between architecture, urban environments and materiality, her practice reveals how strength and fragility can coexist within the same structure.

Spanish artist Alfonso Silván creates portraits that aim to capture more than a likeness.

Through a combination of technical precision, expressive brushwork and layered colour, his works seek to reveal the character and presence of the people he paints.

In this portrait of Ilia Topuria, subtle traces of colour emerge beneath the surface, creating a visual language that has become a distinctive feature of Silván’s practice.

Sharks Attack 🦈

New sharks from Enrico Ceccotto’s cult series are about to arrive in London. 🇮🇹 🇬🇧

The Italian Artist transforms the shark into an icon. A wall-mounted sculpture that blends pop culture, street energy and handcrafted detail. Wood, mixed media, acrylic, fabric, resin. Each piece is unique. Each piece has its own character.

These works sit somewhere between collectible object and contemporary art statement. Playful at first glance, sharp underneath.

508 Gallery is pleased to officially introduce Nana Danso.

A Ghanaian painter, Nana Danso’s practice unfolds between intuition and memory, gesture and symbolism. His figures appear suspended, emerging from layered surfaces as presences rather than portraits. They move between the physical and the spiritual, carrying fragments of collective memory, personal emotion, and inherited storytelling traditions.

Working primarily with acrylic and charcoal, his paintings balance rawness and delicacy. The surfaces feel open, vulnerable, and charged, as if constantly shifting between construction and erasure. The result is a visual language that resists fixed narratives and invites the viewer into a more intuitive and emotional space.

Nana Danso’s work has also entered broader cultural dialogues through significant collaborations, including with Off-White, marking an important moment of visibility on an international stage while preserving the integrity of his artistic voice.

Through both studio works and larger-scale projects, his figures seem to drift in and out of the picture plane, suggesting transition, transformation, and presence beyond form.
