Do you live in North London and have always fancied trying your hand at painting or drawing? This is your moment.
Come and join us at ColourWheel Muswell Hill. Our classes offer a calm and supportive space, perfect for beginners or improvers, all under the guidance of our fabulous teacher, Robin Rothero.
isn’t just an experienced artist, he’s a thoughtful, patient teacher who knows exactly how to help people relax, feel confident and enjoy the process of painting and drawing. His gentle encouragement and clear guidance make every class feel achievable, even if you haven’t picked up a brush in years.
Our classes offer a warm, creative place where you can switch off, build new skills and enjoy the joy of drawing and painting.

We ended our term this week with a lovely project exploring perspective and the views that make Muswell Hill so special. Students ColourWheel Muswell Hill worked on canvas boards, using acrylic to capture St James’s Lane, Alexandra Palace and the sweeping outlook from Hillfield Park. Their pieces were expressive, confident and full of character and a wonderful way to close the term. We’re now looking ahead to September and would love to welcome new students, so do get in touch if you’d like to join us.

A change of pace this week for our ColourWheel Muswell Hill afternoon class. whilst the sun was shining, our students settled into the beautiful walled garden at the Parish of Alexandra Park drawing inspiration from the surrounding brickwork, the church’s elegant architectural features and lovely plants. Using watercolour pencils, a water‑brush pen and a fine liner, the students sketched and painted plein air among sundials, cherub statues and quiet benches. It was a wonderfully calm setting that led to equally wonderful results. A lovely change of scene for everyone.
