I’m pleased to share that I’ll be taking part in a major event at the University of Stirling on 10 December 2025, marking International Human Rights Day under the theme "Migration Beyond Narratives of Fear and Crisis"
This gathering brings together the special guest Senior Human Rights Advisor Sara Ferro Ribeiro (IOM–UN Migration) with people working on the front lines of migration, human rights, and community support — including colleagues from IOM - UN Migration, the British Red Cross JustRight Scotland, Forth Valley Welcome, and the International Humanitarian Law Initiative
I’ve been invited to present my creative work “No One Leaves Without a Reason”, a piece that reflects on the emotional weight of displacement and the stories many try to hide or forget.
This event aims to confront the way migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers are often pushed out of the human rights conversation. It’s a moment to rethink how we speak about people on the move — and how we can build something more grounded, more fair, and more honest.
