The benefits of arts for kids are many and include problem-solving abilities, creativity, literacy, fine motor skills, connection, and understanding. I'm Barbara and I'm the founder of Paperbirds - Art with Kids. I'm a graphic designer, art lover but foremost a mum of three wonderful children. I've been teaching children of different ages for many years and occasions, and I would love to see your

little/big artist in one of my classes. Paperbirds hosts weekly art classes for different age groups, art holiday camps and birthday parties. Art gives kids a chance to learn by doing instead of just being lectured to. There's no right answer in art: they can explore, find new ideas and learn without pressure or restricting guidelines. They just can't get that in math or history. We will have weekly themes that are inspired by seasons, other artists and the children themselves and we will use a wide range of different materials and techniques. Being creative helps kids in so many ways. It is evident that creative arts activity supports the development of social and emotional, sensory and motor as well as communication skills. Coming to our art class after a long and sometimes exhausting day at school will let their minds relax and calm them down. They will be in small groups of around 10 children which helps us and them to try out more, discuss, experiment and to discover their creativity in a less school-like atmosphere. We make sure that all Paperbirds leaders are DBS checked and are trained to ensure that your child has a safe and fun experience.

PAPERBIRDS MAY HALF TERM ART CAMP

4 DAYS OF ART CAMP FUN IN FULHAM SW6
10am to 3pm
Early Drop Off: 9.30am
Later pick up: 3pm

MINIMUM AGE: 6 (on the first day of the camp)

Our themes for the 4 days are:

++ TUESDAY: Cute fruits and funny faces (For Jelly Cats lovers)

++ WEDNESDAY: Magic Art Camp (Harry Potter Fans welcome)

++ THURSDAY: Squishmallows and all things Cute

++ FRIDAY: My Mini Museum (paintings and sculptures in a 3d room)

We will experience many different types of making art - using acrylics, watercolour, pencil drawings, clay and other fun materials to create and have a great time with new and old friends.

There will be a break after lunch to go outside and play before going back into the art room.

Age 6+
Packed Lunch required (nut free)

Come and join Paperbirds Art this Sunday for our Kids Crafts at Fulham Broadway.

Some incredible hole in the wall pictures from yesterday’s exhibition.
We love a combination of drawing and watercolour and this project was just so much fun to make.
