In a sea of dark comedies, LITTLE BROTHER really stands out.

Eoin McAndrew’s script is well paced - the humour lands effortlessly alongside the moments of real poignancy.

Intelligently directed by Emma Jordan, the production feels tight with each choice very intentional. The four-hander contains some great performances by Cormac McAlinden, Catherine Rees, Conor O’Donnell and Laura Dos Santos.

A smart, dark, and deeply human piece of theatre - we’d highly recommend catching it!

After binge-watching THE GIRLFRIEND in just one weekend, we were thrilled to see two familiar names appear at the end of the episodes.

Episode three was written by the outstanding . Ava won our Playwrights Prize in 2022, with her play GRACELAND that went onto run at .

The brilliant was at the helm of episode five (yes, including 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 confrontation scene by the elevator). We were fortunate to have Helen as one of our writers on our 2023 production of THEATRICAL CONSEQUENCES .

NOT YOUR SUPERWOMAN, opened preview performances this week , and we were blown away.

🇬🇾 🧡

The play centres on the resilience of a Caribbean family following the death of the matriarch, and stars goldarosheuvel and letitiawright - who give stunningly powerful performances. The piece compels you to consider familial patterns and behaviours, and poses the question of whether our natures are so embedded within us, attempting to break generational behaviours is futile.

Written by and serving as lynettelinton1’s final directorial piece whilst Artistic Director at The Bush, we highly recommend you sign up to returns (via The Bush website) for this sold out show.

HERE WE ARE is an outstanding piece of theatre.

was the perfect venue to have produced this avant-garde musical satirisation of the bourgeoise, inspired by two films by Luis Buñuel.

🌷 🐻 👠

Being Stephen Sondheim’s last ever work, the musical itself has an interesting story of how it finally came to its current form. Since the concept was first shared in 2012, there have been many iterations, delays and changes, nevertheless, the music for the show was never fully completed. However, due to the absurdity within this piece, it doesn’t seem to matter, and Sondheim gave permission for the show to be premiered post-humorously without his finishing touches.

The playtext is available from The National’s bookshop, alongside the OCR vinyl. We highly recommend any Sondheim fanatics who missed the show brush up on his final work, and if you did see the show, share your thoughts 👇

Having now been open for just over a month, we’re loving seeing everyone enjoy Mrs Warren’s Profession as much as we did. Led by the brilliant and her real-live mother Imelda Staunton, and directed by the illustrious mrdominiccooke, this play is a must-see.

Original banned in 1893 when George Bernard Shaw wrote the play, its themes remain relevant today - how can we judge women in a patriarchal society where their economic success is often so closely linked to their sexuality?

“Imelda Staunton and Bessie Carter are superbly matched in a play that feels as modern as ever” .independant

Get yourself to The Garrick before the 16th of August.
