Welcome to ‘Almost, Maine’, a place where the ordinary, and the extraordinary exist side by side, and where love can change everything in an instant.
On one deeply cold and magical Midwinter night, the residents of Almost find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected, and often surreal ways. Beneath the glow of the northern lights, strangers become lovers, lovers become strangers, and hearts are broken, mended, lost, and found.
John Cariani’s acclaimed play blends sharp humour with piercing honesty in a series of stories about the fragility, absurdity, and power of human connection.
Rarely performed in the UK, Almost, Maine has been staged by over 6000 theatre companies in the United States, making it one of the most frequently produced plays of the past decade.
Directed by OSO Artistic Director Lydia Sax (Blue/Orange, Things I Know to be True, The Revlon Girl, Once Upon a Bridge).
