Shepard Fairey's portraits of Black Panther activists are up for sale in our Urban & Contemporary Art auction on 10th April at . ⁣Both works will be on view 5-10th April from 10am-8:30pm. ⠀

(Lot 497) co-founded and chaired the Black Panther Party, a group of radical activists who fought for African American rights during the Civil Rights Movement. (Lot 493) emerged as one of the most important leftists of the 1960s, working closely with the US Communist Party. Fairey's striking portrayals of these two cultural icons are a tribute to their bravery, legacy and importance in history.⁣⠀
