Fit to Be Tied (1952) 🔔

Fit to Be Tied (1952) is a Tom and Jerry cartoon in which Tom finds himself in trouble after being ordered to keep Jerry under control. Jerry quickly takes advantage of the situation, using ropes, knots, and other household objects to turn Tom’s attempts at restraint against him. What begins as a simple effort to catch Jerry develops into a chaotic series of slapstick gags as Tom becomes increasingly tangled up in his own plans. Jerry repeatedly escapes while Tom suffers the consequences, leaving the cat frustrated and embarrassed. Wags to Riches (1949)
This is the definitive Droopy short directed by Tex Avery. The story kicks off when a millionaire leaves his entire fortune to the tiny, monotone Droopy—but there’s a catch. If Droopy dies, the money goes to the second-in-line, the tall and devious Spike. Spike spends the rest of the cartoon attempting to “eliminate” Droopy with increasingly ridiculous and explosive traps. However, because it’s a Tex Avery cartoon, Droopy’s calm luck is impenetrable, while every single one of Spike’s plans backfires in spectacular, physics-defying fashion.

Herr Meets Hare (1945)
This wartime classic directed by Friz Freleng features Bugs Bunny, who famously takes a wrong turn at Albuquerque and ends up in Germany’s Black Forest. There, he encounters the high-ranking N**i officer Hermann Göring, who is out hunting. Bugs spends the entire short ruthlessly mocking Göring through a series of disguises and psychological pranks—at one point even dressing up as Hi**er to terrify the officer. The story is a biting piece of political satire wrapped in slapstick, ending with Bugs triumphantly outwitting the “master race” and making a fool of the enemy leadership.
