According to Pliny the Elder (who I briefly dated), Cleopatra dissolved a priceless pearl in vinegar and drank it to win a bet, creating one of the most extravagant dinners in history.

What a gloriously cultured weekend 🖼️ 🎉

From the National Gallery to Soho, private tours, a fabulous stag party, and a particularly titillating visit to Tate Modern - I had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful people and sharing some truly extraordinary art, stories and scandals.

Thank you to everyone who joined me. Modern London is a magical place when viewed through the lens of curiosity, culture and a little mischief.

Degenerate? I’ve been called worse. 💋🇩🇪

Coco dives into the scandalous world of so-called ‘degenerate art’ with this wonderfully chaotic dancing couple. The N***s hated works like these, condemning them as dangerous, corrupt and un-German. Erich Heckel himself was labelled a ‘degenerate artist’, and many of his works were removed from German museums.

But this painting has an extraordinary secret. On the reverse is another Heckel painting, hidden from view for decades and only discovered when conservators examined the canvas - a bucolic rural scene painted in 1938 to hide the sassy dancers. Two artworks for the price of one!
