Life Drawing at The Prince - Stoke Newington

Fully tutored life drawing class running every Wednesday, from 7.30-9.30pm Every Thursday, 7.30-9.30pm. £10 including full tuition and all materials.

With over a decade of experience cultivating his unique approach to teaching, join professional artist Dan Whiteson (Wallace Collection, Village Underground, Sothebys) for an evening of music, drinking and drawing like no other. With a dynamic, informal approach and a heavy focus on experimentation and creative freedom, this fully tutored class is suitable for anyone from beginners to those looking to shake up a more established practise. Learn to embrace risk, to feel the benefit of stepping outside of your comfort zone and to make work inspired by observation but ultimately shaped by your own artistic impulses (all with drink in hand!), this is a great way to unwind with friends or meet like-minded people.

Summer feels as if it's finally arrived, and the drawing doesn't stop at The Prince! Bathed in natural light, the room upstairs makes for a gorgeous, sunny space over the warmer months.

Generally, you'll find a quieter class too, with more space for you to spread out and relax into the evening. See you every Wednesday, from 7.30-9.30pm!

Hey gang, I'm looking forward to more life drawing at The Prince tomorrow night!

I also wanted to let you all know that I've just confirmed 18th December (the last class of the year) will be a very special 'Festive' life drawing session, with a rather special guest making an appearance....

Tickets will be the same price as always, but there may be some extra Christmassy materials, and the chance to make a few unique Christmas cards too.

Hi gang! I'm afraid there will be no class at The Prince this week (23rd October), as I'll be at the private view of 'Drawing Humans' along with 3 drawings of mine.

The exhibition, curated by Draw Living Art, celebrates the incredible life drawing scene in London, and I'm really chuffed I was asked to be a part of it. It would be great to see some friendly faces there, so do please come along on the night & say hi!

The Prince have been working hard refurbishing the upstairs room & it's looking absolutely beautiful a the moment; here's a pic from last week with the brilliant Del modelling.

A reminder too about my new life painting class starting this Saturday at The Ministry in Borough. We're down to the last few remaining tickets so if you fancy stepping up your game come along and join from 2-6pm

I'm not sure if anybody ever checks this page anymore (hence why I never post on here - sorry! Rest assured the class at The Prince continues to roll on, every Wednesday from 7.30-9.30pm), but just in case I'm excited to announce the return of my life painting classes, now taking place once a month at The Ministry, Borough!

The first class is on Saturday 12th October, and then once a month from then. 4 hours working with some of London's best life models, and suitable for all abilities. Tix n info from bit.ly/lp_ministry

I really don't think there is any other class out there like this at the moment. All materials included, full tuition (if needed) in a truly stunning venue in the heart of London.

I think the price makes for extremely good value, but I am also fully aware that times are hard for many currently, and I never want money to be a barrier to the arts. If you would like to join the class, but would be unable to pay full price, please contact me directly.

Pictures are from previous life painting classes seven (7!) years ago at New River Studios. Just looking back at them has gotten me so excited - it's truly a privilege to offer people the opportunity to paint from life, and the work produced was always so beautiful.

There's something wonderful about classes through the warmer months. Natural light for nearly the whole session & a bit more space for everyone make for a really special atmosphere.

So great to get back to class last night after an extended Winter break! Thanks to all who joined, and the fabulous Leo for modelling.

In case you missed it, this class is now weekly! Join me at The Prince every Thursday from 7.30-9.30pm.

I'm fully aware I've been neglecting this page, so apologies if you've felt out of the loop the last few months. I've been looking after my littlest boy lots but now he's about to start nursery (sob!) I'll be posting much more regularly from now on.
