A sneak peek into the rehearsal room for Mary Mazzilli’s Lightstreams, produced by Lumenis Theatre. 👀⚡

Developed through interviews with migrant health and social care workers across the UK, the play follows Maurice and Hermia as they navigate a global crisis. While Maurice is proud of his work as a carer, his wife, Hermia, is left to care for their 2-year-old on her own. When world events force Maurice to work in a live-in care home, he is torn between its vulnerable residents and his own family. As restrictions and attitudes toward migrants intensify, Maurice and Hermia must confront the sacrifices they’ve endured.

An intimate, powerful, and compassionate new play exploring the lives of migrant social care workers, Lightsteams is on the verge of starting its first-ever tour. It will only be at 503 for a few days, so be quick to grab a ticket for its London’s debut.

🎉 WE’RE NOMINATED! 🎉

We’re incredibly proud to share that The Wandsworth Way, Riverside Radio’s ambitious 40-part community radio drama, has been nominated for Arts & Creative Radio of the Year at the Community Radio Awards 2026! 🏆

Created as part of Wandsworth’s year as the Mayor of London’s Borough of Culture, the project was made in partnership with Theatre503 and Wandsworth Council.

And the numbers behind it make us particularly proud:

⭐ 84 community performers
⭐ 40 original episodes

For Riverside Radio, this is exactly what community broadcasting should be about: opening doors, giving people their first opportunity to create and perform, and putting local voices at the heart of what we broadcast. ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who wrote, performed, produced and supported the project. Whatever happens on awards night, we’re enormously proud of what everyone involved in The Wandsworth Way created together.

We can't believe it either, but love you long time (already) has its final performances today 😭

It's come round far too quickly and we are DEVASTATED that the run has come to an end, but there's still two chances to catch this funny and heart wrenching play by Katie Đỗ, and it's your final rare opportunity to see Vietnamese work on a British stage.
