The Windmill Brixton is a birthplace of great bands like Black Midi and a community champion, but they're struggling with skyrocketing bills.

We've been stunned and saddened to the extreme this week on the news that soon after his show here on Sunday night with Sonic Eyes, the much loved Gavin Mysterion fell ill and passed away at home.
Gavin has played here with various south London bands over the past eight or so years and was also a regular fixture at shows with his always chirpy "How's it going, Bro?" greeting which is never going to happen again :(
Our sincerest feelings go out to his soul mate and Mysterion Art Lab collaborator Odette, other family members and friends, of whom there were so many.
We'll always remember you, Bro.

Hey drummers!! Here's Otis (our drumming sound tech) showing off today's delivery of a Arena Pack of kick, snare, tom (x3) and condenser (x2) mics plus the highly-rated BL8 boundary mic 9cos you can never have enough different mics). Oh and a nice carry case too!
We think you'll sound even better with this cool upgrade in the venue.

Sat 16 Sept - five bands for a fiver, in alphabetical order: AV Dummy Francis Wolfe - expect sick beats, grungepunkjunk and that kind of thing

Sun 17 Sept - A night of celebrations, come dressed to the nines, be ready for new music. Dress up as a q***r icons (famous or not!) to see the mysterious Queen, Witchescrew (that'll be Lip Filler then), hyper rap sensation Velvetine and Martha Jean

Mon 17 September - because New Music Monday still feels like the weekend. Our popular FREE ENTRY night sees a brilliant electro edition with the much talked about plus the so fresh and some more surprises
