Dovetailing 🕊

Rediscovering some proper orchestration techniques. It has an interesting subtle ebb and flow of timbres when you dovetail an alto flute with a concert flute 😃

His name was George Floyd.

On May 25th 2020 Police officer Derek Chauvin knelt with his weight on George Floyd’s neck for 8 minutes and 46 seconds until George Floyd was dead.

To that police officer, George Floyd’s life didn’t matter. But it matters to all of us.

We will remember him, amongst the countless others needlessly slaughtered at the hand of the establishment. Lest we forget.

The time to change was long ago. Let’s make it now. Donate, demonstrate (peacefully), talk about it with friends and loved ones, I’ll be taking an 8 minute 46 second silence in reverence of the late George Floyd.
