Black History Re: Creative, a programme spanning 6 MONTHS highlighting and celebrating the lives and times in Black history using a creative practice to convey the message. This 'Saturday School' type layout has workshops open to mainly young people but some will welcome families. We teach what is not taught in school and what we may not or have time to reach as parents. All demographics welcome! We are back for 2023 with some exciting sessions!

THIS week Saturday 26th November, 10-1pm is our very first Youth-led Discussion group, lead by young Academic and Creative and International Junior Miss pageant entrant 'Miss South London Pre-teen' Na'Tori Armstrong ._.tori
Na'Tori is a confident voice for young people and is working hard on making a name for herself as a changemaker in this world. She is passionate about her culture and youth current affairs.

The workshop will cover these relevant topics:
📯 Black stereotypes
📯 What is cultural appropriation?
📯 Life as Black Young person in this generation

Young people 11+ from all backgrounds are welcome to be part of the conversation. The session will have adult supervision at all times.

Black History Re: Creative presents the multi-talented King Cas Ajani is an artist, producer, author, director, songwriter, youth mentor and advocate
for young people's emotional wellbeing. He was raised in South London and the
Zimbabwean born creative has been keeping busy over the past couple of years! After keeping his head down during what he dubbed his "cocoon years", in 2020 he released a
powerful short film called "What Happened to Karen?" Which hit 100k views on YouTube
after just 7 days and has been nominated in the "Best Short Film Category by the UK

Black History Re: Creative brings you our November cohort. THIS Saturday 12th November, 10-1pm we have the amazing

King Cas Ajani is an artist, producer, author, director, songwriter, youth mentor and advocate
for young people's emotional wellbeing. He was raised in South London and the

King Cas' journey through entertainment is only getting more
interesting as he continues to produce music, write films and hit the stage as a comic again.

He will be delivering an intensive but fun and dynamic workshop on creative writing. The
three areas covered will be songs, poetry and scripts. Participants will have the opportunity
to pick two out of the three formats and then spread them across the 3 hour session. Families and children welcome.

They will aim to educate, build confidence and skills, breed respect and understanding and inspire its participants to learn more. We feel its important to learn what came before in order to understand what is happening now and what we can do for future generations. Sessions will take place over various Saturdays, 10-12pm (please FOLLOW to see emerging dates)

*Although this is a programme, all workshops stand alone so you can choose which workshops you wish to attend.
