Originally from the Czech Republic and Rรฉunion Island, Jakub and Emeline took their first steps into the dance world at the ages of 16 and 12, both beginning with Ballroom Dancing (Latin, Standard, and Line Dance).
They fell in love with West Coast Swing soon after discovering it, captivated by its creativity, musicality, and sense of freedom.
Their dance journey has been shaped by multiple influences - from urban dances and contemporary to modern, Zouk, and Contact Improvisation. Both are driven by an insatiable curiosity and a desire to learn from other disciplines, expanding their vocabulary of movement, expression, and connection.
The story of JโEm began in June 2016, when they were coincidentally hired together for a styling workshop taught by Adam and Rita in Budapest. Since then, they have been traveling the world, sharing their passion for dance across countries and cultures.
After five consecutive years as top 10 finalists at the Open Swing Dance Championships, they won the Classic Division in November 2024 - becoming the first European couple ever to do so.
