Not defined by their movement, but the aptitude to evoke an emotion through the dance and performance... Company director Natasha Lee gave birth to this concept in January 2013 whilst in her final year of studying her BA Dance HONS degree at Middlesex University. It would be whilst producing an assessed screen dance production for the very first time, that she saw potential in forming her own company to continue producing and creating work of such diverse natures for both film and theatre. A collective of grounded, driven, like minded artists, whom work together as a unit to create works of a contemporary nature. notetoSELF is a company which ticks more than one box in its' style of dance and performance, with a range of skilled dancers established in diverse backgrounds. Our challenges are to push one another and unravel the depths of our movement, emotions and connection to the dance. We explore our own personal boundaries and are on a constant journey of oneself. The dance company notetoSELF represents a familiarity that as a society, no matter what path life leads you down, we are all on a journey with oneself and in some cases have goals and achievements we want to ascertain. The notetoSELF brand reminds us that as blurred as life can often become, to remember where it is you want to head and to continue to see brightness amongst the blur.
