Just as the fingers of both hands are alike, nobody can claim to have any distinctive right or greatness over another. The command which I give you today is not just for today but it is forever. Always remember to and keep acting upon it until you return to your true Master.

The link between art and psychology has always facinated me. I find that I often draw pictures with no meaning intended but they end up portraying my subconscious.

This piece in particular, I didn't draw with any meaning in mind but my mum interpreted it as someone trying to go up but has many obstacles (clouds) in the way and although there is help (bird lifting scarf), the past is holding the person back (scarf tangled in the plant). This surprised me because that is exactly how I have been feeling recently. I'm trying to get somewhere with my art but there are so many obstacles; looking after my 6 month old, doing voluntary work for 3 places, and the never ending house chores make it so difficult to fulfil this dream of mine. The past is still something that hasnt let me go; I keep feeling down because in the past my art business had started so well but due to things happening i had to stop and am having to start all over again from zero, kinda feels like that work went to waste.

Anywho, I'm not going to let that stop me, I know I can do this - i did it before I will do it again, now I have a beautiful baby to give me all the motivation I need! No matter how many obstacles that come in the way, as long as I keep moving I will get through them with the help of Allah 😌

Its so hard to balance out looking after a baby, volunteer work and doing my own art work. The past week or so I just didnt get a chance to do any artwork due to Muneeba and I veing unwell, but im now back in the swing of things (hopefully) and will try to be a bit more consistent. I have been wanting to recreate a collage I did back in uni in this style for ages so here it is. The orignal is up for sale and Ill soon be putting up prints of this on my etsy shop!
