🧭 What is a region made of? Not only borders, but shared histories, cultural memory, artistic exchange and the connections we continue to create.
🎨 At ArtVilnius’26, the largest contemporary art fair in the Baltic States, Vilnius becomes a meeting point for galleries, artists, curators, collectors and everyone curious about where contemporary art is heading.
🔺 This year’s focus connects three European capitals: Vilnius, Warsaw and Vienna. Their distinct artistic scenes reveal unexpected relationships between Central, Eastern and Western Europe while challenging familiar ideas about where one region begins and another ends.
🖼️ Seventy galleries fill LITEXPO with works by emerging and established artists. Painting, sculpture, photography, installation, video and performance come together to present a vivid portrait of contemporary art across the region.
🛤️ Beyond the gallery stands, the international exhibition “The Path” brings sculptures, installations and performances into dialogue, while the Projects Zone presents ambitious curatorial projects shaped by experimentation, identity, history and the changing cultural landscape.
💬 Talks, guided tours and educational programmes create opportunities to meet artists, exchange ideas and experience the fair as more than an art marketplace. ArtVilnius’26 becomes a living space for discovery, conversation and new relationships.

🎼 What if the most radical thing art could ask of us is to stop?
🌊 At the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, “In Minor Keys” invites visitors to slow down, listen deeply and discover what can emerge when art turns away from noise and spectacle.
🕯️ Conceived by the late curator Koyo Kouoh and realised by her chosen team, the exhibition carries forward a deeply human vision. It brings together artists, collectives and cultural organisations whose works explore memory, grief, resistance, repair, beauty and spiritual attention.
🎨 Across the Giardini and the Arsenale, shrines, processions, performances, schools and multisensory installations create a constellation of artistic worlds. There is no single path or simple conclusion. Each encounter offers another rhythm, another voice and another way of experiencing the present.
🌿 Rest becomes one of the exhibition’s most powerful ideas. Gardens, courtyards and immersive environments invite visitors to pause, reconnect and make space for contemplation. Here, rest is not an escape from reality. It becomes a form of care, renewal and quiet resistance.

🖼️ Giovanni Agostino da Lodi is not simply a name recovered from history. He is a reminder that Renaissance art was built through movement, influence and uncertainty.
🎨 At the Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan, “Giovanni Agostino da Lodi. Un pittore itinerante tra Leonardo e Giorgione” brings together 46 works to explore one of the most elusive painters of the Italian Renaissance.
The exhibition follows an artist moving between Milan and Venice, between Leonardesque faces, Venetian colour, Northern prints and shared workshop practices. Here, attribution is not a fixed answer. It becomes a question.

⚗️ Anselm Kiefer does not give us an easy image. He asks us to look through ruins, memory, matter and transformation.
At Palazzo Reale in Milan, “Kiefer. Le Alchimiste” unfolds inside the historic Sala delle Cariatidi, one of the city’s most powerful architectural spaces. Still marked by the scars of the 1943 bombing, the hall becomes more than a setting. It becomes part of the work itself.
🎨 For this exhibition, Kiefer created 42 monumental canvases conceived in direct dialogue with the wounded architecture of the room. The paintings rise like fragments of history: layered, burned, heavy with material and memory. Lead, ash, gold, oxides, flowers and thick painterly surfaces become part of a visual language where destruction is never only an ending. It is also the beginning of transformation.
🔥 The title “Le Alchimiste” refers to women alchemists: figures often forgotten, overlooked or pushed to the margins of history. Through this vast cycle, Kiefer gives presence to women whose knowledge, experiments and writings contributed to the development of modern science.
This is what makes the exhibition so compelling: it is not only about painting, and it is not only about history. It is about what survives. What is buried. What is transformed. What can return from ash, silence and erasure.
✨ Kiefer’s art has always moved between myth, memory, literature, history and trauma. Here, that language becomes deeply physical. The canvases do not simply depict alchemy. They seem to perform it.
