To celebrate sixty years of the Thomas Tallis Society, please join us for an inspiring evening of choral music that spans the centuries from the 16th century to the current day.
Highlights include: Polychoral works by JL Bach and Gabrieli performed in the magnificence of St Alfege Church. Two modern day world premieres of pieces by Ahle and Knüpfer, both contemporaries of JS Bach.
First performances of two new TTS commissions by Anna Semple and Eoghan Desmond using texts taken from two of Thomas Tallis’ most popular motets
Alongside well-loved music by Mozart and Tallis including Ave Verum and Sancta Maria
All accompanied by the English Cornett & Sackbut Ensemble and followed by post-concert party!
