Moody, our favourite Snail, and his friends are coming back to Severndroog Castle for May half-term week! Come and join us in the courtyard for the charming family puppet show, 'A Slow Tale' from Letaniko Theatre.

Shows at 11am and 1pm on Bank holiday Monday 26 May and on Saturday 31 May

This show is recommended for children aged 3-8, but anyone who loves puppet theatre will enjoy the show.

'A Slow Tale' puppet show is an intimate story that follows the adventures of Moody the Snail, who happens to be the slowest creature in the entire forest. Despite facing others' taunts for his slow speed, Moody discovers a special power within. Will he use this power to surpass everyone and how?

Created by Theatre "Danny & Dessi", this puppet theatre show made its way to the UK, all the way from Bulgaria, in an exciting collaboration with Letaniko Theatre.

САМО ТАЗИ СЪБОТА - ТЕАТЪР ЗА ДЕЦА НА БЪЛГАРСКИ ЕЗИК В ЛОНДОН! ☀️🍃🤗

Здравейте, бихме искали да поканим българските дечица и техните семейства на кукленото театрално представление "Бавна Приказка", което ще се играе на 20ти Юли 2024г. от 14:00 часа в London, Severndroog Castle, London SE18 3RT. 🌿

Историята проследява живота на Охлювчето Мууди, което е най-бавното охлювче в цялата гора. Въпреки упреците на другите, Мууди надделява бавната си скорост чрез силата на мисълта и избавя себе си и своите приятели от трудни ситуации. 🐌

This Saturday, join us in the courtyard at Severndroog Castle, Shooters Hill for a delightful family-friendly puppet show. We'll follow the adventures of Moody the Snail, the slowest snail in the entire forest. Despite facing taunts from the others, Moody overcomes his fears and triumphs over adversity with the power of his mind, leaving a lasting mark on the hearts of both young and old alike

This is an outdoor show in the Severndroog Castle courtyard with unreserved seating on the rugs, benches and chairs provided ☀️☀️☀️

Age recommendation 3+

The performance lasts around 40 minutes, and there will be an opportunity to meet Moody the Snail after the show. Severndroog Castle Tearoom and ground floor toilets with baby changing open throughout.

We’re so excited for our next open air performances of ‘A Slow Tale’ 🤗 Come join us on the 20th of July for an English show at 11:00 AM and a Bulgarian one at 14:00 PM 🍃

Created by Theatre "Danny & Dessi", this puppet theatre show made its way to the UK, all the way from Bulgaria, in an exciting collaboration with Letaniko Theatre. There will be an English language performce in the morning, followed by a Bulgarian performance in the afternoon.

We love our canine visitors at Severndroog Castle, but for our ticketed events it's Assistance Dogs only.

The Severndroog Tearoom and our ground floor accessible loo with baby changing facilities will be open throughout the event.

It encourages us to recognize the limitless possibilities that lie within each of us. The final words of the performance beautifully summarize this message: “Think, think, think, my friend, for with thinking, you'll go beyond the end!"

1. A brief history of Puppet Theater and introduction to various types of puppets/demonstration and guidance on operating different types of theatrical puppets
2. Practical Activity with audience participation, aimed at mastering the fundamental techniques of operating glove puppets ‘Petrushka'.
