💛 Friends, this week is a special one! As part of Refugee Week 2026, we are launching a series of events dedicated to community, friendship, and mutual support. 🫂

This Saturday, we invite you to spend the day with family, children, friends, and neighbours. We’ll connect, play, create, cook, and share stories around a communal table. 🌍✨

✨ Programme:

🧱 11:00–13:00 — Architects of Belonging

A family workshop using LEGO® Serious Play for children and adults.

Together, we will build and explore what home, safety, belonging, and community mean to us. Through play and creativity, we’ll create our own stories about places where everyone can feel welcome and included.

🥟 13:00–16:00 — Dough That Connects Us

Join us for a warm culinary gathering featuring Ukrainian varenyky and Afghan mantu.

Around the table, we’ll explore how similar ingredients are transformed into unique dishes across different cultures, how traditional recipes have evolved, what fillings are loved in different countries, and why dough-based dishes have become such an important part of culinary heritage around the world.

This is an opportunity not only to taste traditional food, but also to connect with others, share stories, and discover new cultures through food. 🍽️🤝

A creative watercolour workshop for those who want to slow down, relax, and create their own beautiful artwork in a warm, friendly atmosphere.

💰 13:00 – 18:00 | Cash Flow with Anna Markova
An engaging financial game that helps you better understand money, investments, assets, and financial thinking. Learn through play and real conversations.

For both beginners and experienced players. Practice, friendly games, and development of logic and strategic thinking.

A creative workshop where we use magazine cut-outs, words, images, and colours to build our own visual story. We will dream, imagine, and look at our lives as an exciting novel where you are the main character.

Just look at how art comes to life during Natalia Popravka’s Watercolour Class. A few drops of water, a splash of colour, a gentle brushstroke — and suddenly a blank sheet begins to tell a story.

There’s something truly mesmerising about watching colours blend, flow and create unexpected beauty. And the best part? You don’t need any experience to enjoy it. Many of our participants had never picked up a paintbrush before — they simply wanted to try something new and creative.

💸 Cash Flow: Where Does Your Money Really Go?

Most of us never truly track where our money goes. We think investing is for someone else. And we avoid talking about finances—especially with people who seem to understand them.

Then we wonder why our bank account is back to zero at the end of the month.

On 14 June, you’ll have a chance to look at your finances from a different perspective through Cash Flow, the board game created by Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad Poor Dad. Spend four engaging hours with Anna Markova and discover insights that could change the way you think about money.

🎨✨ Do you know what the best stress relief is? Art.

🧵 When you create something with your own hands, something magical happens. You switch off from the outside world, slow down, and focus on the process. A few hours of creativity become a form of meditation — and in the end, you have something beautiful to show for it. 💛

That’s exactly what happened at yesterday’s Macramé Pripynda Workshop at Meet Me Community Club.

😍 Just look at these beautiful creations! And make sure to watch the video until the end — there’s some absolutely brilliant dancing waiting for you! 💃🕺

🥹 One of the sweetest moments of the day was seeing a young couple join us. The husband made a pripynda for his wife because she wanted it in two colours. Now that’s what we call love! ❤️

Thank you to everyone who joined us and filled the space with creativity, laughter, and great energy. 🌿✨

💖 And there’s more to come! Very soon we’ll be making a beautiful macramé heart brooch together.
