Squat Betty Spoken Word Night is the reincarnation of Squat Betty Alternative Comedy Club which previously operated in Southend On Sea. This time, instead of just the best & most interesting stand up comedians, Squat Betty will be showcasing awesome acts performing Poetry, Storytelling, Sketch Comedy, Character Comedy, Music, Book Readings, Lectures & Stand Up Comedy. Also, as a challenge to his poetic abilities, each month Resident MC Richard Sandling will attempt to write at least one new poem in any metre and on any theme that has been suggested in advance.
