After seeing the post by Sophie Tea some days ago on Instagram, I decided to pop in for the and submitted two art pieces.


A miniature landscape piece, titled Komorebi.


A quick sketch I made with just a HB pencil at the Venture House in Wandsworth where the Art Swap is taking place. londonartgallery

These pieces are going to be on display for two weeks, after which they're going to be swapped and shipped to different participating artists. You can pop in there if you're close by, the venue is The Venture House, New Acres, Wandsworth Town, Wandsworth London.

Portrait of circa 2021, the Àbàmì-ẹ̀dá. I should redo this portrait again soon.

Fẹlá wasn't just a musician, composer, and songwriter but a political activist, freedom fighter and a nonconformist to societal norms. Those core values guided his life, and he wasn't sorry for the life he lived.

Bàbá says "Feem" (ẹ panúdẹ́.. ẹnu yín rún - close your mouth because it smells), aruwo kọ́ni music (music is not the same as noise).

How many times do you prime your canvas before putting your first stroke on it?

For me, I apply two to three layers of gesso, allowing each layer to dry properly before sanding it down for the next application.

This was during summer but the process is the same for me in all weather and season.
