Luka one year after the last video...

And again - he is among my very best performing students!
Incredibly hardworking and dedicated! He never skips lessons, always concentrated, stays highly focused throughout our sessions and always prepares immaculate homework! I can't wish for a better student!
I asked him once how long does he practice every day - just wanted to know how long does he exceeds my recommended 1 hour per day for - every day he spends between 2 and 3 hours at the piano!
Luka loves music. He is genuinely interested and our lessons are always highly important for him. He is blessed with ever so supportive and intelligent parents educating him comprehensively and motivating Luka in every possible way, taking him to various concerts and music venues. However, I think the biggest motivation is in his own heart.
Luka has recently passed his practical Grade 4 exam with distinction and we are now working towards his Grade 5. Obviously it has never been my aim to get as many grades as possible in the shortest period possible and we are learning many beautiful pieces outside the ABRSM programme. And besides that Luka always has something that he finds even outside my own curriculum!
Good luck Luka although I am not really sure you need luck with your hard work and aptitudes! Just don't slow the pace!

This Christmas Carol is written by Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovych. It is one of the best known Christmas songs and yesterday it was performed in Ukrainian on Graham Norton's show by Katie Melua and her lovely Georgian choir!

Julia is absolutely fantastic little girl, very hard-working, musical and talented. She has recently passed her practical Grade 1 exam. All she lacks is a little bit of confidence and I really hope she will gain it with help of small family concerts and filming like this. I love working with Julia!

It's been a long time since my last post. Since then all my students have made a substantial progress.
This festive season we decided to step aside from normal curriculum and make a Christmas project which worked out to be very nice one and I believe brought this special spirit into my students hearts. I am very pleased to see everyone's eyes lit and some even have done more than I asked for. Thank Klaudia and her relative for a lovely Christmas Carol. Well done on the first accomplishment job!
Denis has learned his part really well on both pieces and it was really a pleasure to play with him.
Well done Jane! Although she is only going through basics and hasn't had any grading exams she has learned two Christmas pieces and played them very well in front of the camera.
Milena is also just going through the very basics but has done very well with her part of the project.
I am very proud of my those taking part. We are filming Luka after Christmas and I will post his video separately.

This is Milena. She is 7 and has recently started taking my lessons. We are still passing the basics but she is very diligent and showing good aptitude to music. Well done Milena, don't slow the pace!
