AUDITION REMINDER!

We will be holding open auditions for our March production of Terry Pratchett’s Wyrd Sisters, adapted for the stage by Stephen Briggs, over the Bank Holiday weekend!

Sunday 30th at 3pm and Monday 31st at 8pm at The Little Theatre, Harold Wood.

It’s Macbeth, turned up ’till the k**b comes off, in true Pratchett style. Guildonians performed this adaptation back in 2004 and it’s back in our 80th anniversary season at your request!

Should you wish to audition for any role or want some more information, please reach out directly to Genevieve on Facebook or email [email protected]

Characters are:
Esme Weatherwax (F 50+)
the classic witch; intolerant, opinionated, powerful

Nanny Ogg (F 50+)
good-natured witch; mother, grandmother with a wicked sense of humour

Magrat Garlic (F 20s)
the youngest witch in the coven; naive, fond of occult jewellery and bunnies but more practical than most people believe.

King Verence (M 50+)
an elderly ghost, late King of Lancre. He was cruel and power-hungry in life, but in a regal, kingly way.

Leonal Felmet (M 30+)
Duke, then King of Lancre. Cruel and power-hungry, in a mad way. He gets progressively madder and crueller.

Lady Felmet (F 30+)
Duchess, then Queen of Lancre, married to Leonal. Calculating, power-hungry, cruel. The brains of the operation. Think Lady Macbeth.

The Fool (M 20s)
a youngish jester, following his father’s footsteps in the respected trade of being a fool, but his heart’s not in it. Under his miserable foolery, he is intelligent and meant for greater things.

Tomjon Vitoller (M 20s)
a talented youngish actor, with the ability to portray anyone or anything to perfection. Vitoller’s son. Sort of. Should have a passing resemblance to Fool

Vitoller (M 40+)
the kind actor-manager of a travelling group of players, who agrees to raise an abandoned baby as his own.

Hwel (M 30+)
the playwright. He is a genius with words and story; Discworld's Shakespeare. (Written as a Dwarf in the novel but we're not heightest)

Demon (M/F)
impatient, cunning, and a stickler for the rules. And, well, demonic.

Plus assorted SERGEANT AND GUARDS, ROBBERS, PEASANTS, PLAYERS, CHAMBERLAIN, etc – all a little more on the bumbling side than the brilliant one.

Rehearsals: Mon and Wed evenings at 8pm from Mon 4th Jan plus Fri 26th Feb & Fri 5th Mar
Performances: 10-13 March 2027, 8pm nightly plus 2.30pm Sat matinee
