Creative block happens to even the most enthusiastic sewists. 💭 We’ve had several DMs recently asking what we do when sewing inspiration disappears, so we put our heads together to share what *actually* works for us. Here are a few of our favourites:

🪡 “Change your point of view. Go out and get in front of art, fashion and fabric shops. When I need some inspiration, I’ll research what’s on and see what clicks.” - Hetty

🪡 “Make a mood board. Pull little fabric swatches from your stash and pair them with threads, buttons and sketches. You’ll see your fabrics completely differently.” - Hetty

🪡 “Let yourself be bored. A long, aimless walk with no route and no goal can help - you often find inspiration along the way as you mull the problem over.” - Em

🪡 “Change it up. Sometimes the best thing is to sew something small and unrelated, then once you go back to the first piece, it can feel a bit fresher.” - Emily

🪡 “Visit a vintage store. You can find so many textures, colours, shapes and little details that feel like they have their own story - and inspire you to create a new one.” - Hanni

Why is this such a soothing sound? 🪡 🔊 ��This behind the scenes studio moment is to celebrate our new update to the Art of Shirt Making Workshop, which now has even more support for your journey in tailoring.

The online course features a new step by step photo guide for the Unisex Shirt, plus directions on four essential parts of the making process, plus tips on how to choose fabrics, tools and other materials.
�We wanted to give you a heads up that the price for this workshop will increase slightly from £65 to £75 to reflect the effort and expertise that’s gone into the update (plus previous additions we’ve made over the past four years).
