Given the recent murder of Rami Aboushi, an aspiring circus artist from The Palestinian Circus School مدرسة سيرك فلسطين, it feels important to share this message of solidarity.

In 2018 BMT had the pleasure of being invited to perform at the Palestine Circus Festival, and teach workshops at The Palestinian Circus School. Whilst there, we heard many stories about life under occupation in Palestine, all of which were heartbreaking. We took a guided tour around Hebron, which had roads that Palestinians could only walk on one side of, checkpoints and zones that turn a 5 minute journey, as the crow flies, into a 55 minute one, as the Palestinian commutes. Not having agency over fundamental human rights, such as water. What we saw was segregation, and the only factor any of us could make out was being Palestinian or not; apartheid by definition.
We condemn all acts of terror.
We condemn all loss of civilian life.
We condemn all war crimes.
We stand with those on the sharp end of oppression.
We stand with freedom and peace.
We stand with Palestine!
