🪘Join them for a free, fun, intergenerational, inclusive, music-making and movement outdoor group workshop 🪇

🎶Designed for older participants who are Forever Young at heart, but ALL are welcome!

🌟Go Grandad, Go! by Company DHW

🇯🇲This heartwarming, family friendly hip-hop dance theatre show explores the bond between a grandfather and his grandchildren, redefining generational relationships, inspiring young people and empowering the not-so-young.

🌟It's inclusive, intergenerational fun for all, with BSL integrated performances.

📍Ken Aston Square, Barkingside, IG6 2EA

Saturday also features a FREE bumper programme of additional fun:

12.30-1.30pm IROKO music-making workshop on the square.
1.30-1.40pm The Unity Singers

10am-3pm: Arts and crafts activities, including inclusive pop-up art hubs with Barkingside Art Club, their Creative Ambassadors and Spectrum Studio young artists. There's also the Discover in a Day Arts Award.

🌟Go Grandad, Go! by Company DHW celebrates Caribbean elders: grandmas, grandpas, aunties and uncles whose culture has made a huge impact on British Society

💫This heartwarming, family-friendly, Hip-Hop dance theatre show presents the bond between a grandfather and his grandchildren, redefining generational relationships, inspiring the young and empowering the…not so young.

👋All performances have BSL integrated into the show.

⭐ROA is delighted to announce we're launching Vision Redbridge's Black History Month 2026 celebrations with Go Grandad, Go! by Company DHW.

🩵Go Grandad, Go! is a heart warming inter-generational family story embedded in love. This relatable Hip-Hop theatre dance show inspires the young and empowers the… not so young.

⭐Coming to Barkingside on Saturday 26 September, and Ilford on Sunday 27 September, with four performances over one weekend.

🌟Last weekend, Ro-Tes by Stopgap Dance Company came to Barkingside and Ilford! ❤️💛🧡🩵💚💜💙🩷

After an inspiring and creative Friday afternoon at Fullwell Cross Library with a meet and greet (see our previous post) they performed in Ken Aston Square and Ilford High Road.

🫶🏾 A huge ‘THANK YOU' to Stopgap Dance Company dancers and crew for their energy, talent and next-level accessibility resources. Thank you Barkingside Art Club and Creative Ambassadors, Arts Award crew, Redbridge Cycling Campaign’s Fix-Your-Bike volunteers, our growing team of amazing volunteers and stewards, Redbridge Libraries and facilities staff at Fullwell Cross, Central and Fullwell Cross Leisure centre, The face painters, everyone who shared and supported the event, Redbridge Council , those who completed a survey, our funders Vision Redbridge Culture & Leisure and Without Walls UK !❤️🧡💚💛🩷💜💙🩵
